REVIEWS

The CD opens with Satellite Life and it reveals Michal to write tough gritty songs that feature just her raw vocals and stripped back electric guitar, there are no solos or fancy frills here and her voice doesn't soar or swoop, instead what you have here is slow broody numbers that crawl under your skin, the songs aren't instant but you find yourself drawn towards them and before you know it you've pressed the repeat button. Glass is particularly alluring; the track has the instrumentation pushed to the background and Michal's vocals sound at their most haunting. The four-track CD is something of a must hear, a raw uncompromising release from a very talented songwriter who isn't afraid to wear her emotions on her sleeve. Checkout Moon Pilot, you won't be disappointed.
